Allup Silica is scheduled for listing next Monday (May 2).
Whilst the market prospects for silica look promising, there are a number of concerns with regards to some of Allup's projects.
Importantly, there is significant and growing community resistance to Allup’s planned open pit silica sand mines near Quinninup in the Southern Forest region of Southwest WA. The group is well organised and has a growing social media presence, drawing upon broader concerns of mining in the southwest.
