    re: silver-robbo G'day
I have an account with the perth mint, I did have unallocated silver, however despite the fact that the perthmint is the only govt guaranteed certificate dealer in the world, safe, blah blah I recently added to my bullion holdings and converted the unallocated to allocated.
The advantage of unallocated is you pay no premiums to the price of silver at time of purchase ie no fabrication or storage fees. And guaranteed by the WA govt, sounds good.
However, the silver bulls such as Ted Butler, David Morgan, Jim Puplava etc say buy real silver and take delivery or at least get allocated, so I have taken that advice.
I purchased 1000 oz bars which cost $140 ea for fabrication + 3% (I think) of all up value for 12 months storage fee.
Some smaller bars I bought from a local supplier to the jewellery industry incurred gst, but this does not apply to perthmint investment bullion.
    cheers
    Rod
