    I mirror Conan and Fraser's sentiment. The high risk might not be worth it especially when you have better options. Concentrate on Europe, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea (which will take years maybe a decade). Then look to make acquisitions of BNPL which aren't available at the moment but will likely pop up.

    The great thing about acquisitions is that the prospective companies will open the books to Afterpay and you can see the default rates and make an informed decision if its a viable business model in those countries.

    I think it would be naive to think that BNPL is a 1-size-fits-all. If default rates creep up in certain markets and in a few years the funding for Afterpay becomes more expensive as interest rates rise, the margins might be squeezed to a point to non-viability. I'm not saying this is the case, but its certainly a possibility that Afterpay would be assessing, hence my belief they will first focus on the markets I've mentioned above.
