In terms of P&L measures, EBITDA is the only useful measure for valuation purposes (given the nature of its business, you could argue for EBTDA in the case of Afterpay). When companies are bought and sold it is typically based on an EV/EBITDA multiple or by DCF analysis (more likely a combination of the 2).
