Why do you think a market downturn = a crash or wipeout?. Markets rarely crash and never wipeout. They correct 10 or 20% and then growth resumes. The market has NEVER EVER turned down and stayed downwards. At worst and it's a single data point never seen anywhere else before or since, the Japanese market went sideways for 20 years.
Companies pull back but successful fast growth companies pull back and roar on - they don't pull a Lehman.
