I should have clarified. The way that I research my holdings, it would be unlikely (maybe not impossible) for someone to do this for 20-30 stocks on an ongoing basis. I'd imagine the average person that confirms to the MPT doesn't have the time to spend hours each day checking the stock, checking the market, checking the competitors, checking the relevant exchange rates, checking trends on multiple platforms such as google trend, similarweb including for the company and competitors etc etc for 20-30 stocks.

No need to get so defensive. If you disagree we can just agree to disagree. I think everyone has a different idea of what due diligent means so what works for some may not work for others. Maybe I should have rephrased my original comment to "It would be impossible for me to do this".
