What you are saying is incorrect. MFUG and MS both own 5% (i.e. see ASX announcements). There hasn’t been a single announcement indicating they are shorting APT. On the other hand, we all can see how Blackrock keep lending its shares to the kamikaze short sellers who have been squeezed 40% in a week. And it’s not over. More pain is coming for the short sellers.
It’s a pretty good business for Blackrock. They get money for lending their stocks, they immediately push the price up and when the poor fella can take it anymore they sell what they bought to the poor fella. End result, their holdings have increased 40% and they even made some money on these rallies. Without taking into account the fees.
If MUFG, Blackrock or MS were shorting APT it will have gone down not up. They control any market the way they want.
MS wouldn’t be releasing positive reports about APT.
