it's all an issue of valuation for appen. at today's price p/e is 20.6, definitely overpriced. i'd be cautious to use last year's EPS $AUD 0.415 which would give 16 p/e, they said costs will be high and earnings will take a hit over the next few years. they will run into the same problem with china's tech giants as they have with FAAMG, and china has the tendency to reverse engineer, china's tech giants will definitely take things in house in a few years.

also there's no cost of entry to compete with appen. everyone and their dog is starting a data annotation sweatshop. cost of entry itself is a moat.

Result has come and gone no one would care about these results next week other than trends in valuation models focus is going to turn on H1 22
