The guidance upgrade was already factored in, hence the share price going back to $22 and testing buying demand there.
Just like how next year, market expectations will be:
Feb 2020 - beats upgraded guidance from Nov 2019
Mid 2020 - update on F8 Synergies being very much so on track (this will be seen as an upgrade)
Aug 2020 - beats guidance
Nov 2020 - guidance upgrade of some sort
There are high expectations for this stock, as it is a hyper growth stock.
So far, Appen has yet to let me down, which is why I am comfortable for Appen to have all those expectations and still be the #1 largest holding in my portfolio of 25 stocks, of which 16 are growth stocks.
