Wave 1s are typically a mystery to most people, the only ones who are really aware of why its going up are insiders...along with that are a lot of short term traders surfing the momentum ..when the insiders are finished getting set momentum drops off and traders get burnt, this is the 50% retrace period (wave 2)..
at wave 3 the cats out of the bag and everyone joins in ...wave 3s are a very confident up trends.."breakouts"
