I agree that I might not be tech savvy as you are..
but I know basic things such as..
Appen is not the only company that provides same services for Data preparing for AI. Labour work dependency and major cost for their business.
Loosing company like Google (obvious big name when it comes to AI and who else can have same amount of data to prepare, tag etc.. whatever in your language) is not good sign if you want to dream/pump SP based on AI bandwagon.
Their capital raise/ takeover offers at lower prices indicates (people with better knowledge and money than me), how they value tech company in this space!
