Tony Poli (AQA boss) was quoted in Thursday's West Australian newspaper as saying he had approached FMG with a proposal to partner 50/50 on the building of Anketell port, with initial capacity aimed at 100Mt p/a (i.e. 50Mtpa each).

He said that AQA could bring the environmental studies & preliminary work they had done to the table, and that this was a big win/win opportunity for everyone.

He said he hadn't heard back from FMG regarding his proposal.

I'm not sure if an AQA/FMG partnership would work in favour of IOH securing allocations at the port.
