Good weekend, Interesting to see what happens in the US.
US market is just starting to realise Trump will drive these tariffs to the dismantle the world order built up over 7 decades. NOT a short term blip like alot of other dips we have had, where the market recovers. Trump being a narcissist doesnt care about US, has a crazy idea and will let it run, even double down. Ok raising tariffs increases inflation for probably a year due to imprt spike, then he will do tax cuts in 6 months.... another inflaation driver... if his idea of drawing back some work to US actually starts to kick-in in 2 years the people needed to build an occupy he is deporting, already low unemployment like Australia, that drives up inflation....
Total loss of respect from the world for USA, movement away from USA goods ramps up, the underpinnings of international law eroding.... whihc part of this is good?
