So there hasn't been many posts here probably because the news about Aquis hasn't been good.
The Provisional Annual Accounts have been released and Aquis have invested $13.6m into Casino Canberra and changed the business from losing $1m per year to losing $3.9m! A friend of mine that still works at the casino told me that last month on a Saturday night the income from the restaurant was less than $800!
The Shares have continued to slide from 20c when everyone was excited and are currently sitting at 6c. BTW, it's the ACT election next month and if Labor does not get back in, there is no chance of the Casino getting any poker machines. There is a huge campaign going on here in Canberra from the local clubs against ACT Labor and the Chief Minister is a bit on the nose after some dodgy planning approvals. No pokies mean no lavish expansion plans!
To top it off, those shareholders that bought into this stock thinking it was going to be the vehicle for the highly anticipated Casino Resort in Cairns will be disappointed after the Fungs have given up on trying to get a casino license in Queensland.
