There's a fundamental difference between an investor and a trader.
@Always Flexin is an investor and @luckycato is a trader.

While the trader takes the risk of "missing the next leg up", he might also miss the next leg DOWN!
Also, the trader banks profits everyday or every few days, which cuts his risk.

For what it's worth,I believe that "investing stocks" are the more established ones like BHP RiO and the banks..
Most Oz tech stocks are a traders dream, that does not mean that they are less worthy of buyers in any way.
The natural volatility, aided by websites like HC, makes these stocks "high risk, high gain"

In the end, we are all in the market to make money, and trading is one of a myriad of ways to do so.
