1. The Yanks may or may not help out there that is yet to be seen, there are a number of trouble spots around the world were similar things are happening and the yanks are not involved (despite them being the great champion of human rights)
2. If they do become involved and it is without some self serving hidden agenda then they would deserve praise for doing so.
