re: gz - reasonsto bar arafat - I have a grudging respect for Arafat (which is more than I can say for Sharon). I also see no reason to believe he is personally involved with terrorism or its justification until his accusers show hard evidence.
Why they hate him so is because he refuses to give up. Whether his cause is a just one is immaterial - he is by any measure a courageous old man and a symbol to his people. Nobody can take that away.
