It's brave of you to call this out, Bhan. I fear you are right. There are several suspects for the relentless shorting of ARU stock, all with their particular motivations, and Gina is certainly among them. It would be a courageous thing for ASIC to do a proper investigation into this, but the widespread use of shorting to manipulate share prices and make companies vulnerable to low-ball takeovers is now a problem of national significance.

We need as many voices as possible exposing this behaviour. Birchcorp, Durro and other have already contributed. It is a pity that the argument between 1Naughty1 and Birchcorp seems to have led Birchcorp to withdraw from this forum - I hope it doesn't deter him from continuing his efforts outside it. As retail shareholders, we are in the same boat after all - we are being fleeced and the spectacle is enough to deter people from investing in the ASX.

I have been a shareholder in ARU for a number of years and was hopeful in April that I might at last see a return on my sizeable investment, but have now decided to reduce my exposure. I hope the Federal government's involvement with the company stimulates it to do something about the SP manipulation, but I am not optimistic now. I'm still crossing my fingers that I'm wrong.
