Simple/. If retail tried to manipulate markets, would get prison. When instos do it, they get away with it. Retail can't move markets for most part, instos can drive the price where want.
Instos are also protected as the authorities would call a time out on a massive price gain and halt the market when potential for shorts to get hammered.. where ever see that on a sell off to protect retail from losses. Ohh and trades which retail cant see are a thing too.
