The global economy has been significantly impacted due to the trade war since 2018 between the two countries (US vs China).

Higher interest rates stay longer (by US), leading the West to be forced to follow, however, China keeps lower interest rates.

For most ordinary people, in recent years, we have been experiencing living costs issues, supply shortages, local currency depreciation, etc.

However, those rich people and politicians take advantage of the policy to sell high and buy low (assets and shares)with a good salary .( look at H.M.C chair Howard Government did a great job for our OZ to some extent.
