    Yes they are supplying at a lower price than production cost.

    As mentioned in my previous post this is to snuff out new supply coming onboard.

    Bad for the West but good for ARU as it just made it. Had ARU been 12 months later I don't think they would have.

    China can't and doesn't want to keep producing at these prices. They just want to control new supply coming on board (too late to stop ARU but many other wannabes won't get there - it's a long and costly process).

    ARU production will come online just as they revert back to normal production and price. By then all the other budding suppliers will have died and by then the other 4 ex China supplier + China will be too strong. Kind of like the Iron Ore miners now, just 3 big players have probably 80%+ (guess) of global production.

    It means China will no longer control 80%+ of global NdPr rare earths, but they will still control a lot, and the 4 big ex China players of which ARU are one will control the rest (enough perhaps to keep the West strategically comfortable). I think an AFR article recently said something similar about why Gina is in the mix, looking for a potential ex China cartel of rare earths.

    Happy Days ahead for ARU having made it through to this exclusive club.
