Though they have been retaining 50% of their earnings (more if you include DRP on special dividends) for a long time. So technically, we shareholders have been tapped.
Not that I begrudge it. After all, those are earnings i don't get taxed on and that get reinvested at high rates of return.
That's a good kind of "tapping".
