Everything I can quantify agrees with you. However I have watched Eric over the years, and whilst it's been a while since he's had any real great exploration success, his deals all seem to pass the time test well.
Various onshore Perth basin mop ups, the VOY take out, offshore acreage increase, and more recently the Wandoo assets (just ahead of two reasonable exploration successes). Hard to see him overpaying despite it looking expensive to us.
Presumably he sees a lot more oil (or gas) in the BMG permits. Certainly makes a close comparasion of BPT and ARQ worthwhile.
I think I will hang in there with my modest holding, but certainly won't be accumulating more atm, and I am downgrading my sentiment to a HOLD until I am more decided.
