How I currently view ARQ;
Solid production underpinning an aggressive exploration program. Couple that with a conservative and patient approach to acquisitions means value comes ahead of buying something for the sake of cranking out some announcements. In light of the madness we are currently seeing in the market I see this as important, and a temptation management hasn't succumbed to.
The current transformational asset purchase appears to be the first step towards ARQ being re-rated by the market, and hopefully a move away from sitting on PE ratios of around 11.
Personally I would like ARQ to also move away from only having percentage shares on wells, to 100% interest operated wells. I guess that comes with greater scale.
Should be an interesting few years.
