This was always going to be the way it would play out the first time the Government discussed the 'Lithium Affair' since the election. It was the only way Babis was going to look like he hasn't changed his mind on the issue. He is obviously not a man that wants to look like he has been proven wrong. Or just used it to win the election.

His plan is to make Huner, the minister for trade and industry, the scape goat.

Obviously the headlines from the reporting yesterday are about Babis and what he said; that's what sells!

Don't you think Babis would have demanded that Huner cancel the MoU immediately?

The real news when you cut through all of the ranting by Babis however, is that they have not cancelled the MoU, he has left it with the lawyers to look at ( we all know who's on the right side of the law) and he has tasked Huner to amend the MoU. That way it will look like Babis has sorted the 'mess' out on his terms. He wants the credit instead of Huner.

It is therefore 'as you were' the revised MoU will still be signed.
