Minor detail, but Kvanefjeld (61degrees north) is not located in the arctic circle (66degrees north). It doesn't make a huge difference, but it means that they will never experience 24hrs of darkness during the winter (maybe this means less people will go crazy?). Coastal proximity moderates the temperature, making it much warmer (during the winter) than any mine in northern Canada.
