I totally agree... she has been a tough sector, could always be worse though, Look at USA PMs stocks... they are yet to have any sort of real significant rally... I've read a few of their forums... sentiment is really low... I mean I feel depressed after reading some of their feeds.
least we got a rally when Aus dollar went down a few years back... however USA PMs in $ terms are struggling to stay over $1250 mark... it must be hard on some of their companies... Aus have been doing pretty well with good margins... some like EVN RMS NST and many others went up in multiples... (which I was fortunate to do well out of) explorers will have their day soon, they will go up in multiples in the next rally as they are incredibly cheap right now against producers... I mean they carry more risk, and more patience required granted, but really!...explorers worth a few million dollars with incredibly good resource and permits in hand in Australia... it's possible to pick up inground gold for $10 an ounce and silver around 10cents an ounce... that's leverage we may never see again ounce things turn around for Aus PMs.
