i should add that i have never seen a sp being affected by the overhang of options when the options expiry is so far away i.e. 14 months for ARD. certainly , a sp can be affected when expiry is within 4 - 8 weeks, as some holders will sell heads to convert options (if they hold both). otherwise it is a non-event as far as i am concerned so far out.
truth be told, if ARD come up smelling like roses in the coming months, then the maximum money to be made will be in the options, as they expotentially get re-rated along with the heads.
something seems to be happening in the silver markets about supply. if physical supply gets squeezed then ARD will be on the winnings list in the coming months.
