I take it you're not serious about the only indication of aggression coming from Trump. Clearly both parties are aggressive towards their perceived foes.
As for overthrowing anyone...You're right, this is not 150 years ago. I can't see any chance of the people rising up of their own volition. Not unless the internet is turned off, at least. Today's idea of self sacrifice is having to cook dinner at home. People have been conditioned to feel attached to "things" more than their fellow citizens. Whether that be watching the football on a Friday night, the latest video game, "Try Not to Laugh" videos on youtube, their Apple Airpods, or their social status.
I'm not saying there won't be civil war. But conditions will need to be a lot worse before you'd get many people involved. Which begs the question...Who, or what could bring about such conditions? I'd say the only answer to that's probably the government, and any side will do.
