There seem to be two conflicting tenets of Woke;

1) We are all the same, the colour of our skin is irrelevant. This was the most popular theme till recently. Treat everyone equally.

2) Aboriginals are inherently different, 60,000 years of culture, their culture mustn't change.

I don't believe the second.

There are some very intelligent, articulate and noble aboriginals. They have adapted to modern society and thrive.
We hold back the others by misplaced paternalism. If we treated them equally they would be forced to thrive too.

By keeping them in remote, pointless settlements where they are idle we do them no favours. By supporting the rape of their children and beating of their women we are accomplices. The truancy and delinquency of the children is neglect. This wouldn't be allowed if they were white.

My European ancestors also had 60,000 years of history. I suppose they beat their womenfolk too and the clans battled and shared their food. But they evolved.

Close the zoos, allow the aboriginals to evolve.
