I think it is utterly fanciful as well. How did they arrive at these valuations?

I am not sure that the idea was to sell it all off was it? I though it was to sell to market as separate listed entities in the same way that Landmark is hiving off Coles.

I looked at these figures for a long time and couldn't work out what the hell they were talking about. It's as if by hiving off chunks of the business into a new entity they will magically fix all of the problems that they currently have. I mean, on what planet is the AMP loss making insurance disaster worth anything other than walk away value? I understand that the higher growth components are being dragged down by the multiple applied to the entire group but there is a reason for this. I'd say one more bombshell will see this stock go sub $3
