The article referred to by Mihal mainly referred to market manipulation rather than HC thread type manipulation and it does appear from various posts that this could be quite rampant with HC but it needs experienced traders to identify such transactions by being able to analyse price / volume movements etc I do get alarmed when some Posters report that bids have been pulled or the shares appear to be churned by Brokers but as others have said Pumping and Dumping is something you have to live with and learn not to be caught out with In any case I believe that any influence or manipulation in some form has generally happened at the time prior to the initial investment and becoming involved with HC I find in general the posts on CCC are very informative and at this stage. of far better value than outside sources despite the occasional ramping (but not manipulation )
