you can only claim back GST on brokerage if you are a share trader.
the $50K turnover that was being referred to was the value of shares sold and again the value of share sales regardless if you are an investor or trader are excluded from calculating the $50k threshold for GSt registration requirements
your investment property maybe subject to GST if sold within 5 years depending on certain factors that can be involved and is somethingh I am not prepared to go into here or for free.
