Scientific American may be an untrustworthy source for some in the antiscience denialist cabal but I like it. This particular article is a balanced presentation imo, pointing out that most fly ash isn't particularly radioactive just that nuclear safety protocols have reduced safety risk to the order of one in a billion.
Anna Bligh has indicated support for at least examining nuclear power for Oz. We are a country where nuclear power could provide all our baseload power needs.
