I particularly like the end of the Bulletin article. If we were to apply similar reasoning to something like taxes then what would be the result? The amount of tax I pay is insignificant in the scheme of things (say 1/10 millionth of income tax paid in Australia) so whether I pay or not makes no difference. But if everyone applied this reasoning what would be the result?
