Note the word "mainly". I am aware that some people depend on their machine for their very life. My BIL is one.
That said, I believe that all adults have some interruptive events but these people are a gold mine for the snakeoil CPAP salesmen.
I renewed my acquaintance with my sleep specialist from years ago. By the time I walked away I had a loan machine and over $400 charge on my CC. The machine interrupts my sleep, not aid it, but that is what I found first time.
He reminds me of the guy whose only tool is a hammer - everything looks like a nail.
I just bought a new big fridge, $1,700, a CPAP costs much more'n that. The industry is a rip off. Be sceptical is my advice.
