Spot on cook. It makes me sick to see our country on the way to the very same degradation.
We are in the midst of a war so to speak for the future of our country, for the preservation of our nation, for the continuity of all that our forebears have bequeathed to us and those in government have been selling us out for decades.
What, pursuing your analogy indeed, does Turnbull ( or indeeed Morrison or any other such) care as he glides by private car or RAAF jet between Point Piper and Canberra or to his ( mooted ) house outside Cairns or to the Mornington Peninsula.
There are so many in politics like him, Keating one too despite his humble beginnings, who have utterly sold out the people of this country whom they have so deceitfully purported to represent.
We live in ill and foreboding times and we are utterly abandoned.
This is not before us unfolding the country our forebears fought for or which our forebears imagined; this is not what Menzies or any of those pre and post war generations envisaged. We are in the frip of sinister forces which hate all that we have been and all that which at our core we are and which seek to ruin our nation, our society, our culture and our polity in the cause of their base and vicious agenda..... and those like Turnbull ,complicit or not but certainly cocooned from the rising catastrophe of all that is going on, could not give a damn.
