Just in relation to "what motivates people to post negative thoughts on other stocks".
Here's my thoughts. At some point in any traders life, I feel like they will have some exposure to and perhaps be burned to an extent from a pump and dump. Good on the ones who manage to avoid it, but I dare say there are more who have been burned even a little. This may lead these traders to hold a grudge against people who are incessantly upramping a dog of a stock, like this one. I mean, if it was just the huge corporations who take a loss when there's pumping then I don't think many would care, but when it's usually Mum and Dad investors who get sucked into the pump so that the up rampers can dump, then it's far from a victimless action. I think people generally don't like to see others get scammed, so when they feel like a stock is being incessantly pumped and there's a very high chance that those less experienced will get burned by the dump, they may throw their two cents in.
