I am aware that this forum is more about a tit for tat of what we all agree or disagree on, However I am approaching this topic from the angle of an investor on the outside looking in.
The Gold community in general has a view on what we should be worth and yet most conversations do not incorporate our poor sales , marketing and sentiment growth performance.
The marketing input from the World Gold Council and their PRODUCT producers is extremely poor and has done nothing to capture the imagination and sentiment of the greater retail investor.
Where is this heading?
We as investors in Gold and its producers have a pretty firm understanding of a Gold Miners:
AISC / Growth Potential / Geology yada yada.Yet the greater market of overall investors just do not care.
Case in point:
Bitcoin: Michael Saylor, a guy without a clue regarding economics and world geopolitics , is able to push and sell a "Crypto Currency" faster than it can be produced or split into fragments of. Now let's bring in Donald Trump and his entourage pushing Crypto further. Sorry folks the Marketing machine is in overdrive and outselling Gold miners at an exceptional rate.
Gold Miners and the World Gold council is concentrating their sales and sentiment approach on us the group who is already aware of our importance in a world of turmoil and greater economic downturn.
It is not about us, marketing and business has always known it is about you the customer. Where is the Michael Saylor Marketing:
Eg; The arguments:
Gold does not yield / well that is incorrect.
Gold is a shiny yellow relic / and yet it continues to hedge against inflation and devaluation of currencies.
Gold is fungible even when the lights go out our only marketing ploy , Really.
The Gold Industry and producers need to generate sentiment just as Tech did in the early 2000s and just as Cryptos are now.
Sentiment from within is stagnating the Gold market I know what its value is and how to research good Gold producers and so do you , yet the greater investment society does not have a clue and will follow the marketing of Michael Saylor / Donald Trump and the High Quality investment platforms called Twitter/x and facebook, tongue in cheek.
Sentiment must come from somewhere:
At present we have sentiment yet it is only as big as our internal trading group. We need to market to all in a simple, clear and concise way if we are to attract more capitol and grow.
I know this may be obvious but if I were Vaults board I would be pushing for greater outward presentation as a means to attract RETAIL investors and bring sentiment home.
In summary Sorry for the tangent but I do feel the accounting / production and profitability of our investment is well known by those of us in this forum , yet selling coconuts in a closed community will not generate growth. We need to bolster our marketing and attraction to a new generation get them involved.
Look forward to a positive December 1/2 yearly.
Good Luck to all and Merry Christmas.
