Well , its a long time to have capital tied up and I am disinterested as I invest in companies that are for the future - to do this deal and it only settles in January next year I am not sure it will even happen - If it was say BHP then I would think of Olympic Dam - If a deal takes that long to settle it has a much greater chance of failure.
So 50% up in 6 months or probably back to low 40's versus a company that has a longer term future - I would prefer the latter. These guys have the skills and I for one am surprised that $300m before tax and after its cost them $179m before all the directors fees and other costs that have been expended - it is such a good price? Its selling the entire future and I must say I liked the fact that we could be earning 10c per annum for a few years I think it may well have given this stock enough momentum to be around the v$1.00 mark and then they could have created something from there.
Some may say they will have something else in mind - not sure I agree they would have wanted a much faster close if that was the case.
Who pays for all the expenditure between now and January as well - looks like we have to.
Personally I was very excited but now I am just jaded by this , dont see a future but not willing to give up the extra 25c just yet.
