The only reason the states would seriously consider legalising marijuana is so they can tax it. Cigarette taxes bring in more money than petrol taxes...and given the penchant for electric cars the revenue from fuel sales can only go one way.
Personally i couldn't care less if they legalise marijuana. The problem I see for users is it stays in the system for longer and can still show up days later...unlike alcohol which will be gone after hours.
If a bloke gets home from work and has a couple of joints with his mates he would show positive if he was tested the next day at work which would be no different than turning up pissed as far as the law is concerned. He / she would also leave him / herself at risk of being charged of a driving offence...
Pill testing is stupid imo...if a drug is illegal it is illegal. As has been recognised, testing an illegal concoction of drugs pressed into pill form isn't going to make then safe. Kids will still die.
Why on earth give a false sense of security to these losers that have to pop a pill by "testing" them? In my opinion if you are dumb enough to jam a concoction of unknown chemicals down your throat then you wear the consequences...
If kids get very sick or die maybe the message will get out...don't mess with the stuff!
