@ pintohoo I actually don’t think that the incumbent government were voted out because the electorate thought they were idiots.
I honestly believe that the Australian electorate has made a decision on what type of government they want, both federally and in the states.
The electorate in ,y view wants big government, equality of outcomes (requires big government) and reduced personal responsibility, (services traditionally self provided to be provided by others) (again requires big government).
I also think that this is not a transitory voting pattern but will hold for some period of time (10 years??) or longer. This mind set is driven out of Brussels, New York (and Geneva) and Washington in my view.
