Louise Mensch criticised David Cameron and The Queen (Picture: REUTERS/Olivia Harris)Louise Mensch has launched a furious Twitter tirade over human rights abuses in Saudi Arabia after the British Government ordered all UK flags to be flown at half-mast following the death of King Abdullah.
In an expletive-laden tirade on social media, the former Conservative MP slammed the decision to fly flags at half-mast, pointing out that Abdullah’s regime had an abhorrent human rights record.
Following a tweet from the British Embassy in the Saudi capital of Riyadh – in which Prime Minister David Cameron expressed his sadness at the death of the royal – Mensch replied ‘F**K YOU’ alongside the hashtag #FREETHE4, referring to allegations that King Abdullah’s four daughters are currently being imprisoned against their will.
Mensch was also seen to criticise Abdullah’s regime for its attitudes towards women, who are legally prohibited from driving in the Arab state.
She then directed her ire at the Queen as Buckingham Palace apparently made the controversial decision to fly the flag outside Westminster Abbey.
Louise Mensch embarked on a sweary Twitter tirade
Earlier today, Clarence House confirmed that Prince Charles will fly to Saudi Arabia on Saturday to pay his respects to King Abdullah.
