Then there is the generous super, travel etc.

There needs to be a way that they get paid according to their contribution. This would require a neutral board of auditors that could weigh up the pollies worth. I agree that it would be next to impossible.

A different road is to pay pollies 1 million. This should attract more talented less ideological individuals except for the ALP of course who would fight each other for their spots.

Whatever the road the West needs a different type of politician.
