    Have to agree with TB on this one (shock, horror), something is either true or not true, how we discover that truth doesn't really matter, it could be scientific truth, moral truth, philosophical truth etc.

    The fights usually start when people blur the lines between categories. Usually it's scientists being philosophical and trying to pass that off as science. Also people only seem to object when they have an a-priori commitment to an underlying philosophy that gets challenged. But lots of scientists have followed their investigations to the logical conclusions and have ended up as a believer in some religion or another.
