funnel web on my desk

This morning at 3am, I woke up and walked down the stairs to check the DOW.

Checked....down 115 points.

Normally I always walk in the dark and no shoes / clothes...just a quick check so can get a few more hours sleep.

This morning though...I turned on the stair light and walked up it.

Half way up....there is a spider...going vertically to the next step.

I jump 3 steps in 1 go and get a container as coming near it it started to rear up on its back legs.

Big thick legged fangs rearing and front legs up ready to pounce......I sweeped it into a chinese takeaway.

Now its pretending to be dead in the same container on my desk.

I am in Sydney, Eastern Australia.

The wander at night to mate.

Thinking of bombing the house but maybe better to get an exterminator in.

Freaky experience at 3am seeing a funnel web make its way to humans.
