Limited Liability mate. Now if it was a partnership and we were partners, then we would be.
If the company is wound up, or becomes insolvent then the board have to bring in receivers to handle the liquidation of assets and to work out a deal for the creditors and in this case shareholders. Shareholders will come last on the list if there is any monies left over.
