Who'd of thought deflation could lead to essential commodity shortages?
If you're in the game of commodity production and rely on third parties for finance (ie most of them/us), it is getting impossible to obtain funding. That's hardly likely to translate into capacity to produce. Not a problem for things like copper and lead but for energy and food this is much more worrying. This scenario is playing out worldover and it is only going to be a matter of time before shortages start sppearing in the commodities of need IMO.
