We get paid with no cash-efted to our accounts. We go shopping-no cash emerges-we use credit cards. Everything is a cashless society. If there was a situation where people panicked & wanted real cash under their pillows & there was a run on banks-how many would get all their money in cash. Should the banks have enough gold bullion to cover their supposed deposits, or at least some part of it. I think most banks would struggle to find cash for more than 5% of their customers deposits.
