I agreed with you re moon cycle with human behaviour.
Years ago I worked in nursing home for more than 20 years, and every time if the senior citzens had a erratic night I always looked up the sky if the moon was full moon, that would explained it. I checked with my colleagues, who had the same experiences, I used to think it was a very unusal event. It does make sense now.
